Dry Skin Remedies

Monday 17 November 2014

Whenever the weather changes my skin seems to have a mini freak out. This freak out usually involves my skin becoming really dry, especially in certain patches on my face. Honestly, I just find this really annoying and I want to fix my skin as quickly and with as little effort as possible. I don't always have a lot of time to fix problems with my skin and so I have managed to find a few products that help my skin quickly. Dry skin while uncomfortable can also make things like applying makeup difficult. So I wanted to share with you the products that give me the best results.

Creamy Eye Concentrate with Avocado by Kiehl'sThis year for the first time ever the skin around my eyes became dry and this made applying eye makeup really difficult. So I picked up this eye cream to gently moisturise the eye area. It is a simple and highly effective product, great for younger people who don't need anti-wrinkle creams just yet. To apply this I just rub a bit of the cream between my ring fingers then lightly dab it on.

Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask by Origins
I use this mask when my skin is dry or dull to give my skin that little extra boost of hydration. I usually just put it on after my nightly routine and wake up with glowy and plumper skin. Sometimes if I am at home all day I will wash my face in the morning and just wear this mask throughout the day.

Intensive Care spray moisturiser by Vaseline
I am the worst when it comes to moisturising. I always plan to do it before I leave the house then find myself running out of time. This moisturiser has saved me multiple times when I am running late. I spray it on and then only have to slightly rub it in and it is non-greasy which I love. This is an amazing moisturiser and I have repurchased it numerous times now.

Superdefense SPF 15 moisturiser by Clinique
This face moisturiser is the first step in my makeup routine. I have tried more moisturises than I can count and so far this is the only thing that has worked on my skin to such a great extent. Other moisturisers make me breakout, give me oily skin or just don't moisturise my skin deeply enough. I also love that it has SPF in it.

Geranium Leaf Body Balm by Aesop
These balms are my favourite for when I have really dry skin. They are thick and rich and seem to really help dry patches. I also use this as a hand cream. I really like this scent but I have to mention my favourite ever Aesop balm the Rejuvenate Intensive balm in the scent scent tangerine rind, vanille and sandalwood, which has the most delicious aroma.

Lastly, I want to give a quick mention to the Strawberry Chapstick. I forgot to put it in the photo but I have seriously been loving this balm recently. My lips had really dry patches on them and I couldn't seem to hydrate my lips for long before they dried out again. Using a Chapstick has vastly improved my lips and they hydrated and soft.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you use for dry skin?
